Grounded radiators!
All Diamond stationary antennas have a grounded radiator, thuis protecting the rig against static discharge. The cheap copies usually do not have this feature... if you want to risk you radio...
Only high quality materials are used for the antennas. The tubes are made of high resiliency fibre glass which protects the active antenna elements. The base is made of coated aluminum, the short radials are made of stainless steel. The connector jack is protected inside the base tube. All antennas incldued two solid mast clamps for easy mounting. Besides the well known multi band antennas, Diamond introduced some new mono band antennas.

Diamond VHF/UHF Marine antennas
In contrast to the well known "X" series by Diamond, the marine antennas do not have any radials (which might get in the way when handling ropes on the ship). Also the metal parts are better suitable for saltwater spray.
The brass/chrome plated mounting tube is permanently attached to the glass fibre tube. The mounting brackets are covered with a special protective coating, all other hardware are made of stainless steel.
Of course you can use these antennas on land as well, in cases where a very unabtrusive stick antenna (no radials) and the higher resistance against environmental influences is important.

Attention - Counterfeit Diamond Products!
Unfortunately we have found that counterfeited Diamond antennas have been offered on the German and European market. Affected are the popular omni-directional antennas for fixed installation of the "X-Series", but also some mobile and equipment antennas.
Even the packaging is deceptively copied from the original - a yellow sleeve with Diamond logo! But there are some subtle differences how to identify he falsifications.

Further Characteristics
- Counterfeited products are packed with air bubble film, the original antennas not.
- Press button which closed the yellow plastic packing is originally made from metal, the falsifications use plastic.
- Yellow packaging is folded over at the bottom, giving more stability. The counterfeited products dont have this overlapping yellow packaging.
- Instruction leaflets are printed on both sides with the original, and are simple one sided photo cpoies of the falsifications.
Depending on the precise antenna type one or more of these differences can occur. Please check carefully before suspecting a supplier without reason.
